Instant Link turns a physical Polaroid into a connected object. Each print gets a clean, shareable link, and pairing it with an NFC tag bonds the two permanently: tap the tag, and the digital version of that exact photo opens instantly, no app, no search, no guessing which folder it's buried in.

The idea grew out of a simple tension. Polaroids are prized because they're physical and singular, but that same physicality makes them hard to share, back up, or revisit once they're not in your hand. Instant Link doesn't try to replace the print. It gives it a digital shadow that lives alongside it, accessible the moment you want it, without taking anything away from the object itself.

Practically, that means a Polaroid can be dropped into a group chat, posted online, or preserved against fading and loss, while still existing as a physical keepsake on a shelf, in a frame, or in someone's hands.

Stories for Letterboxd was born from a deep passion for cinema and for the app/social network dedicated to the seventh art: Letterboxd.

The app has a very simple purpose: given a film, a list of films, a review, or a profile, it generates engaging Instagram stories.

The platform, currently in development, connects musicians with venues to create a business network in the music sector. Working on this platform was very interesting for two main reasons:

1. Such a platform is highly complex. Messaging, gigs, bookings, payments, publications — everything needed meticulous attention to detail. We also created two distinct user types, each with their own dashboard and tailored experience.
   
   

2. The client wanted a UI that stood out from the crowd. I proposed a magazine-style UI — striking and instantly recognizable. This naturally made the work more challenging, as there were no precedents or guides to follow; we essentially crafted something unique.

Instant Box was born out of a real need.

I’m a Polaroid photographer and own several cameras. Each Polaroid can hold only one film pack at a time, and each pack contains eight photos. Having multiple cameras helps when you’re not sure you want to shoot with the same type of film, the more cameras you have, the more different film packs you can use at once.

The app works as an inventory system. Photographers can add their cameras, manage their film pack inventory, link packs to specific cameras, and even record the date of a shoot. This way, there’s no need to check the camera to know how many shots are left — you can just check the app.

Process

1. Approaching AI

Instant Box nasce come un esperimento, trasformatosi poi in un app realmente disponibile in app store. Lavorare con l'AI non è stato semplice ma sicuramente ha reso molto più veloce la parte di prototipazione dell'app.

2. Not only AI

No design decisions were made by AI. Every position, color, and element was first designed in Figma, then described or shown to the AI, and sometimes manually refined afterward. The custom icons for each camera type and the color palette for every film pack are details I’m especially proud of. They’re the human touches that give the app its personality.

Even though this project is still under development, I was very keen to include it among my ongoing work. It is perhaps the largest platform I have ever designed, with more than 100 screens, numerous user flows, and a deeply developed, large‑scale design system.

The complexity of this platform stemmed from working on an already established UX, since this is a rework of an existing product. I kept certain sections and their functionalities intact, as my goal wasn’t to confuse the current users but to enhance their overall experience. It was a delicate task, where balance served as the most crucial pillar.

There were also areas where I completely modernized the pages, adding small personal touches that make the platform’s experience feel much more premium.

All of this was achieved with a custom design system built specifically for the platform, complete and fully documented for every single element, ready to be handed over to the developers.
